VISITORS - FAQ

What is your worship like?
Our worship team provides a passionate, contemporary, and upbeat style of music. In our morning services we blend the modern worship songs with the great soul stirring hymns of yesterday. You will see and hear guitars, keyboards, flute, vocalists and drums, even congas! We view music styles to be nothing more than a personal preference. We try our best to do what we think blesses God and brings people closer to Him.

You’ll see people around with their hands up or down, with their eyes open or closed. Some are singing loudly while others are just humming along! Some people may come forward to the altar area as an expression of their need for God’s touch or to convey their love for Him!

Do I have to dress up?
No, you don't. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some, that may mean dressing up, but for some it means wearing casual clothes. The New Testament simply instructs us to dress modestly and decently, so we don’t burden people unnecessarily by requiring them to dress up in fancy clothes they don’t normally wear just to "go to church." We want everyone to give God their best in every way, but we never want clothing to be a hindrance to someone feeling like they can belong in church. We invite you to come, be comfortable, and enjoy learning about God with us.

Will I have to stand up in front of people?
Most churches have figured out that if they call on their visitors to stand up during the service and introduce themselves, that you might as well just show them to the door! It’s a bit awkward to say the least! So while the people at Armbrust Wesleyan are genuinely interested in getting to know you and want to make you feel welcome, we will never call on you or embarrass you in any way. You can relax and enjoy meeting people at your own pace.

How can I get a copy of the Sermon?
We make all the messages available to anyone who wants them. Order forms are located at the Tech Booth and your request will be available the next Sunday! You can order past sermons, series, & teachings by way of the same order form. Or visit our Sermon's page for the latest posted sermons.

Do you have childcare?
Yes. The Nursery is open every Sunday morning from 9:30 - 11:45 a.m. Parents will receive a beeper when they drop off their children, in case they are needed.

How do I become a member?
Two to three times a year, the church holds a New Member class. The class meets on a Saturday for approximately three hours, including continental breakfast. During this time, you will hear from pastors and staff persons about our history and our shared beliefs, values, and goals. At the end of the meeting you will not be pressured, you will be given a short form to complete and return to our Lead Pastor if you would like to join. New members are recognized in worship on a subsequent Sunday.

Is the church handicapped accessible?
Yes. The entrance at the front of the building has a smooth pavement to the door, easy access to the sanctuary, and movable seating for comfortable placement of any size chair. The church has offices, classrooms, and very modern handicapped accessible restrooms on the same floor. We have our banquet room and children and youth rooms on a lower level which are entirely accessible as well from the rear entrance.
